"Revisiting Dora 9", interview with Erich Brunotte
It is finally here!
Topics range from takeoff and landing the 109/190 to dogfights and general engine management.
Some important things Brunotte mentioned, very relevant to DCS pilots (ANY flight sim, really):
- Always 3-point landing, whether 190 or 109
- Try to keep your landing approach at 200km/h or above
- You very rarely need to apply brakes on takeoff, rudder is enough
Definitely worth a watch to anyone interested in WW2 aviation, despite some inconsistensies of his statements, which I can only blame on 70-year old memories.
